Why does the plastic housing look faded or scuffed in the photos?
Because air boxes live directly in the engine bay, they are subjected to intense engine heat, road dust, and cosmetic wear. Minor surface scuffs, plastic fading, or dirt is completely normal for a used OEM part. Every box is inspected to guarantee it has zero cracks, structural punctures, or warped mating surfaces that could leak unfiltered air into your engine.
Are the intake hoses, rubber bellows, or resonator boxes included?
This listing features the primary air filter housing (upper/lower lid assembly). Auxiliary ductwork, accordion intake hoses, hose clamps, and secondary silencer/resonator chambers are not included unless they are physically attached and clearly visible in the product images.
Does this listing include a new air filter?
No. If a used paper or aftermarket element is left inside the box in our photos, it is included purely as a free bonus. For optimal engine health, performance, and fuel economy, we always highly recommend purchasing and installing a brand-new engine air filter before closing up your replacement housing.
Does this air box include the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor?
No. Unless explicitly stated in the main product title or description, the electronic MAF sensor is not included. The factory sensor housing or mounting port is part of the box structure, but you will need to swap your vehicle's original working sensor into the port during installation.
Will this air box fit my vehicle if the engine size is different but the model name is the same?
Generally, no. Car manufacturers design completely different air intake housings depending on the engine displacement, configuration (Inline-4 vs. V6), and induction type (Turbocharged vs. Naturally Aspirated). The inlet tube diameters and mounting tab locations rarely match across different engine sizes. Always verify that your specific engine size matches the listing.
